1 April 1881 Left the school and gone to his parents, Great Barr Street, Birmingham

13 May 1881 In a letter dated 12 May 1881 writes to say he is in employment and intends to come and see me on Sunday next, 15 May

15 May 1881 Calls and tells me that his parents are now living at 113 Great Barr Street, Birmingham. He is working for a Mr Banner(?), coffee hall proprietor, 113 Coventry Road, Birmingham. He tells me he has seen Thomas, Weston, and Adams.

13 June 1881 Brooks writes for another pass. His address is Great Barr Street, Birmingham
