24 May 1881 Letter from Police Sergeant at Cheadle to say that he has heard nothing of W Wood but that he would still prosecute his enquiries

10 June [1881] Letter from Sergeant Harding to say that Wood has been seen. I have written to the constable(?) and also to Wood's mother

 15 June [1881] W Wood readmitted

 25 May 1882 Absconded between 10 and 11 o'clock a.m. and recaptured the same evening at 11 o'clock

12 February 1883 Absconded from kitchen... [cannot read, too faint]
